PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
EXXCEL was hired to provide design and construction services to build a pizza dough production and distribution facility for Domino’s Pizza. The facility would also contain a franchisee center and pizza ingredient storage expertise. Construction was completed during the winter months in Detroit metro area.
Temperature control was crucial during this build, with each area requiring different temperatures: -10F storage freezer, 35F storage cooler, 35F dough production, 60F dough mixing, and tray washing. All refrigeration systems were integrated into one state of the art DDC control system. All docs were equipped with vertical storing hydraulic dock leveler bridges with integrated controls for cleanliness and pest prevention.
